NyCo ripstop fabric

Quality is required

VTX Ripstop™ differs from standard NYCO 50/50 Ripstop in one fundamental way: it delivers lightweight, integrated four-way stretch for enhanced mobility. Standard NYCO 50/50 is a heavier, more rigid, traditional military-spec fabric with no inherent stretch, so conventional 50/50 NYCO garments often rely on separate stretch panels in high-stress areas. VTX Ripstop builds stretch and performance directly into the base fabric across the entire garment. Where VTX Ripstop™ improves on the standard NYCO 50/50 Ripstop baseline • Built-in 4-way mechanical stretch (standard NYCO is rigid) • 17% lighter than standard NYCO • 4x more breathable • 60% faster drying • Tear strength 3x higher than Mil-Spec requirements • Composition 48% Nylon / 50% Cotton / 2% Spandex, with Invista T420HT high-tenacity Nylon 6,6 (standard NYCO: 50% Nylon / 50% Cotton, standard Mil-Spec nylon) Both fabrics are offered. Standard NYCO 50/50 Ripstop is the baseline; VTX Ripstop™ is the HAVOK standard. Shirt body fabrics Two body fabrics, both offered. Choose by mission. MESH (83% Nylon / 17% Spandex) delivers lightweight breathability, stretch, and moisture management in high-heat, high-movement conditions. Its strength comes from the durability of nylon combined with the flexibility of spandex, giving the wearer comfort, mobility, and reliable performance during long periods of physical activity. MODACRYLIC (4.5–5 oz jersey knit modacrylic + FR rayon blend) provides inherent flame resistance along with everyday comfort in environments where heat and flash exposure are a concern. Its strength lies in combining dependable FR protection with a softer, more wearable knit construction, helping protect the wearer while maintaining comfort, durability, and readiness over extended use.
